Days off work

Snowy cliffs between Cuba NM & Bernallilo Dec 29, 2011
Today was a day off work.  If I never had days off work I would be RICH!!!!  Today I drove to Farmington to see my Podiatrist & get my new inserts for my shoes!!  $300!!!  Pluss gas to FArm Town, Lunch with friends while there & shopping at a favorite store up there.  On the good side I took the Lowly lizard refugee to his new home with Mark.  Lowly Lizard was a stowaway in plants from Florida to Lowes in Santa Fe a couple weeks ago.  Luckily we captured him & he has been residing at my home for the last 2 weeks.  He is a Brown Anole They like 80 degree tempratures & 80% humidity!!  That makes for a pretty miserable lizard in Santa Fe in December with THREE winter storem & single digit lows.  LOL  I also traded my Soulcatta Tortise for a 40 gallon tank to make a Fire Bellied Frog paradise.  Roseanne sent curly rush, a bromiliad & another plant to add to the froggy paradise.  Now all I have to do is decide where I wil be settting up the paradise at!!!  The nice thing about going to Farmington it the drive time.  Was VERY pretty today as there was lots of snow on the rock cliffs.  Ok so the picture is not al that clear but it WAS taken while going 65 MPH down the highway with the window open & one handed!!  LOL

Tomorrow sees me back at work 8 - 5, I hope to come home a bit early & work with Macho & Kodi using Carolyn Resnicks methods.

  1. Yikes! Why is it that everything that a Podiatrist does or sell costs bookoo bucks? So what are the inserts for? Both of my twin sons have flat feet and have to wear Happy Feet inserts (from REI), but we've not had any professionally made inserts made for them yet, but will probably need to eventually. They have pancake feet. ugh!
So, what's up with the Anole? Why is the new home with Mark better than what you had? Is it more humid and warm up in Farmington? lol!
I had no idea you were so into reptiles/amphibians. Cool!

Great photo especially going at such fast speeds. Good looking blog, too!

  2. Custom orthodics are WELL worth the money spent as long as they are fit properly!! Especialy as much as I am on my feet on CONCRETE!! They go in & out of all my shoes, & insurance pays for them. Mak has a terrerium already set up to accomodate a tropical lizard. My tanks are set up for DESERT lizards.
